During the November lockdown, I was invited to become a mentor for the 2eMPower Cyber Challenge, a project run by Angel Exit Theatre and the National Museum of Computing. The challenge was designed to inspire neurodivergent youngsters in the fields of mathematics and computer science.
As a former neurodivergent teen myself, I know how important it is to have role models and mentors who can help you to see your potential. I was therefore delighted to have the opportunity to give back and help to inspire the next generation of programmers, mathematicians, engineers, and artists.
Fantastic team work delivering our first 2eMPower Cyber Challenge for autistic students with @tnmoc . The students had a lot of fun -thank you the team for giving up all Saturday, plus much more to make this a great success and to @RAEngNews pic.twitter.com/ojuxUkfOkA

The event was a great success, and I was so impressed by the creativity and ingenuity of the young people I worked with. I’m looking forward to continuing my involvement with the project in the future.
