I was delighted to be invited to present my research on indoor air quality in UK schools at the Sustainable Places 2022 conference in Nice, France. The conference brought together a diverse group of academics, industry representatives, and policymakers, and it was a fantastic opportunity to share my work and learn from others.
The conference kicked off with a series of keynote speeches from local authorities, including the vice-mayor of the Nice metropolitan area, a statement from the French Minister of Sustainability, and key members of the attended audience all focused on French Innovation and EU participation. The day concluded with a mixer sessions, allowing me to discuss topics of my research and our work at NAQTS on behalf of my organisation with academics and industry representatives present.
The third and fourth days of the conference were packed with a variety of paper and presentation sessions. I particularly enjoyed the sessions on investigatory methodology and the retrofit of older building stock with smart technology, as these are both areas that are highly relevant to my own research.
On the final day of the conference, I presented my own research on indoor air quality in UK schools. The session was well-received, and I was awarded for my presentation and fluidity.
